KIU JOURNAL OF HEALTH SCIENCES (KJHS) is an official academic publication of Kampala International University, Uganda, and is dedicated to promoting research in health. The editorial office is located on the Western Campus of Kampala International University, Ishaka-Uganda.

The peer-reviewed journal welcomes manuscripts in form of a report of original works, clinical trials, case report/study, reviews, research letters as well as short reports. We also publish conferences, workshop reports, or proceedings from professional bodies or organizations that will impact positively academia. KJHS thus invites research scholars to submit their highly valued work or novel ideas in the domain of health sciences.

Manuscript Submission

Author(s) may submit their manuscripts covering any research areas in biomedical, clinical, pharmaceutical, nursing, and allied health sciences. Authors are advised to follow the manuscript preparation checklist https://kjhs.kiu.ac.ug/submissions.php  in preparing manuscripts before submission and should send their manuscripts as e-mail attachments to the Editor-in-Chief ([email protected]) with a cover letter. Manuscripts should be submitted in Word Format only.

Manuscript Review Process

The author(s) will receive an acknowledgment of the submitted manuscript along with a manuscript identification number. After an initial review by the Editorial Board, the manuscripts which meet the Journal’s specifications will be sent to reviewers. Authors are also notified if manuscripts are adjudged not to be appropriate for review.

Manuscripts shall be subjected to three peer reviews. If accepted, manuscripts shall be subjected to plagiarism checks and further review by Journal Editors. We aim to complete all reviews within 7-10 weeks.
